The main runway of Mumbai airport was shut down for about 30 minutes on April 15 after a Swissair Airbus 330-343 aircraft suffered an engine failure on takeoff. The pilots were forced to abort the takeoff roll and with the aircraft stranded on the operational runway it was closed for flight operations which forced a Lufthansa flight to divert to Hyderabad, while an IndiGo aircraft did a go-around to eventually land in Mumbai.
