Flatirons Solutions announces that is the first provider of an OEM-independent solution for management of S1000D maintenance data for the Airbus A220 series of aircraft (formerly the Bombardier C Series). With support of the Airbus A220, the CORENA Fleet solution by Flatirons now provides coverage for virtually all new generation Airbus and Boeing fleets in service, including the Airbus A350 and the Boeing 787, which is currently being implemented for several customers.
The CORENA Fleet solution drives maintenance efficiency for airline operators, says Flatirons, providing productivity gains of up to 15-20% for maintenance engineers. By providing a mobile source for information on all airframes, engines, and components being serviced – regardless of their manufacturer – the CORENA Fleet solution helps reduce repair times and improve aircraft utilization.
Flatirons has long been at the forefront of S1000D in commercial aviation, with a production presence in S1000D-powered airline maintenance since 2005. With the recent announcement by Airbus of their intention to migrate mature fleets like the Airbus A320, A330, A340, and A380 from the iSpec 2200 specification to S1000D in coming years, CORENA Fleet adopters will be well-positioned to manage this transition smoothly.
