Jazeera aircraft catches fire at Hyderabad airport

The right engine of a Jazeera aircraft, flight J9 608 from Kuwait to Hyderabad, caught fire soon after landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, on August 2. Officials has blamed a technical problem for the fire, which started as the aircraft was approaching the parking bay. All the passengers were safely evacuated.

Jazeera Airways confirmed that the aircraft reported a brief tailpipe flare in the right engine, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
